Time to get down and dirty! Sculpt giant puppets out of cardboard, paper mache, and other materials, then decorate and use in a puppet pageant like no other! This workshop is ideal for civic, school or community groups who are participating in an upcoming parade or who want a true group bonding project.

Length: 2 - 5 days
Spend one to three hours a day with us, learning the ins and outs of puppets! Create a puppet show from start to finish, from writing the script, designing and building the puppets, to performing your incredible creation for family and friends! Many forms of puppetry will be explored; maybe we’ll even invent a few of our own! The workshop ends with a public performance. A cookies and juice reception is recommended. Recommended Ages: 8 - 13
Having a Toy Theatre in your classroom, combined with a workshop or teacher training will help students reach various Georgia Performance Standards. Students will learn about the history of toy, or tabletop, theatre and will make their own puppets and pop-up scenery. They will also learn to adapt a story from literature, history, or personal experience based on a production chart. Teachers will be left with a foldable toy theatre for their classroom and information on incorporating toy theatre use throughout the year. Please call for pricing and more information.
